The March Hare Team Challenge

A fully structured, competitive event designed to unite teams, spark engagement, and create a shared sense of achievement.

More Than Just Team Games

The March Hare Team Challenge is how we brand our flagship team events. You can expect a fully hosted, professionally structured experience designed exclusively for your group. It blends shared challenge, team identity, and healthy competition into a day that creates stories your team will still be sharing months later.

The Challenge is an encapsulation of our activities carefully selected for your group and adapted to maximise team engagement. Whether it includes team games, karting, shooting, or a mixture of all three, each element is structured to reward collaboration, communication, and shared decision-making rather than individual performance alone.

The day begins with a full briefing. We explain how the format works, what earns points, how bonus opportunities arise, and most importantly — how teams can beat their rivals to earn a March Hare Winner medal at the end.

Teams are either pre-selected by your group/company or randomly assigned by us. You can if wanted use this to mix departments, locations, or new intakes. We can also include icebreaker challenges at the start to set the tone and get everyone interacting from the first minute. (More applicable for larger groups.)

The March Hare Team Challenge is particularly good for:

  • Hybrid or work-from-home teams who rarely meet face to face
  • New graduate or apprentice intakes
  • Companies merging teams or departments
  • Geographically separate teams meeting for the first time
  • Large family events with mixed ages and abilities

How the Day Works

Our team challenge events work great with teams of 5 - 8 people. So depending on your overall group size (80 people max per day) we would divide you into the appropriate teams, or, if you have a small number we can work with a single team and provide benchmark times to beat. Each team rotates through all the selected activities, ensuring everyone experiences every element of the Challenge.

The exact format depends on the activities chosen, but the principle is simple: teams cycle through each activity in turn, with clear time allocations and natural breaks built in for lunch, refreshments, or internal team discussions where required.

We typically operate in either a half-day or full-day format, depending on group size and objectives. All activity timing and rotations are carefully managed by our team, so you can focus on participating, enjoying the challenges, and having fun.

As teams progress, they earn times or scores for each activity. Results are calculated either against competing teams or against a pre-set benchmark score.

The result is competitive, but inclusive. Every participant contributes to the final outcome, and success comes from teamwork, communication, and smart decision-making rather than individual ability alone.

How the Booking Process Works

Once you get in touch, we work directly with you to shape the day around your numbers, timings, objectives, and internal requirements.

We understand that organising events, especially within larger organisations, can be challenging. Getting sign-off, aligning schedules, and presenting clear plans to leadership often takes time — and we’re happy to support you through that process.

After your initial enquiry, we produce at least one structured outline of your proposed Team Challenge, including activity recommendations, timings, flow, and a price quote. This gives you something tangible to share, helping with planning, approvals, and building anticipation before the event.

From that initial outline, we are happy to work with you to amend it and design a balanced day with a mix of activities to suit your goals, your group’s requirements, and your budget. Whether it’s Team Games, Karting, Shooting, or a combination of all of them.

With over 30 years of experience running events, we take care of the scheduling, rotation, and logistics so your group can focus on participating, collaborating, and enjoying the day. Every Team Challenge is bespoke — we listen, advise, and tailor the experience to suit your team.

We genuinely love hosting these events, and most of all we love seeing the smiles at the end.

Inclusive by Design

The March Hare Team Challenge is designed to include everyone — not just the loudest, fittest, or most competitive members of the group, and if necessary our expert instructors will ensure that everyone has a say without any one person monopolising the decision making.

While some activities involve light physical elements, the emphasis is on strategy, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. There is always a role for every participant.

We regularly host teams that include:

No one is ever asked to do anything they are not comfortable with doing.

In many challenges, success depends just as much on planning, observation, time management, and leadership as it does on physical participation. Some roles are strategic. Some are organisational. Some are supportive. All are valuable.

We take pride in ensuring that everyone remains engaged, involved, and contributing throughout the day — because the real objective is shared achievement, not individual performance. All of the team games require the participating team members to work together to achieve success.

Choosing Activities for Your Team Challenge

The Team Challenge can include Karting, Team Games, or any of our shooting disciplines. We are always happy to recommend a structure and provide options based on your group size, time available, and objectives, but, we also encourage you to explore the individual activity pages to see what preferences you may have.

For Team Challenges, we slightly adapt the formats of Karting and Shooting so they emphasise strategy, communication, and shared decision-making. These are typically combined with Team Games to create a balanced day where each activity complements the next.

Team Games

In a Team Challenge, Team Games are structured to reward collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking. For team scoring, we typically use formats such as:

  • Timed challenges that require coordination and planning.
  • Problem-solving tasks that reward delegation and logical thinking.
  • Physical coordination games that need to be completed as a team helping one another.

Most games include multiple roles allowing everyone to contribute. Some plan, some execute, some observe and advise. Teams often succeed through communication and smart delegation rather than raw ability.

Karting

In a Team Challenge, Karting is structured to reward teamwork as much as individual driving skill. We go with the following formats:

  • Fastest lap competitions using team-averaged times.
  • Endurance races with driver swaps and pit strategy.
  • Team pit-stop challenges focusing on coordination rather than speed.

Stronger drivers often mentor less confident teammates, while others step into leadership roles managing timing, swaps, and race tactics. Races are frequently won through planning and teamwork rather than outright pace.

Many guests are first-time participants, which creates a shared sense of achievement and a memorable highlight within the overall Team Challenge experience.

Why Our Team Challenge Is Different

Many companies offer “team building.” Few deliver a professionally structured, fully hosted competitive experience that runs seamlessly across multiple activity types with clear scoring, progression, and a genuine sense of occasion.

Our Team Challenge isn’t a loose collection of activities. We’ve refined this structure over decades of running events for corporate teams, returning companies, and large private groups. For many organisations, it has become an annual fixture.

From initial enquiry to arrival briefing and final prize-giving, your group is hosted, guided, and looked after. We manage the timing, transitions, scoring, and energy of the day so it runs smoothly and feels organised, competitive, and worthwhile.

If you and your team are ready to start planning a properly professional team event, we’d love to host you.

Example Formats & Pricing

As mentioned, most, if not all March Hare Team Challenges are tailored to your group which we are happy to do, but our example package formats give a clear idea of structure, timing, and pricing. Please see them below:

Many groups choose one of these example formats exactly as designed. Others use them as a starting point and ask us to adjust the balance of activities or timings to suit their objectives. Either approach works perfectly.
